Services

Representation:

The Chamber's Policy Unit campaigns on behalf of members, exerting powerful influence on Government to create a more favourable business environment in North Staffordshire. We have regular dialogue with Ministers, MPs, Government departments and local authorities to promote the interests of Chamber members. Formulating policy via its standing committees, ad-hoc specialist groups and regular business surveys, the Chamber is the legitimate voice of local business. We are active in a whole raft of local partnerships and are playing an active role in the regeneration of the region.

The Business Manifesto:

In spring 2006 we published our Business Manifesto in order to set out how we will tackle eight key issues that are hindering the prosperity of businesses in North Staffordshire. These issues are:

Education and skills,
Regeneration
Regulation and the tax system
Transport
European legislation
Business crime
Energy
Pensions
